About C2 Studio
Studio gives you access to C2's full-spectrum color system — 496 colors, each built from up to 8 pigments — in a well-made interior latex that performs above its price point. The colors are the same ones used across every C2 product, so what you pick for your walls works seamlessly if you later add LUXE for a living room upgrade or Cabinet & Trim for your kitchen.
The formula delivers good hide, smooth application, and a washable finish that holds up to everyday life. It's a straightforward, quality interior paint — not watered down, not over-engineered. Just well-built for the job.
Why Studio over DTC brands like Clare or Backdrop?
Most direct-to-consumer paint brands offer somewhere between 50 and 120 colors in 1 or 2 sheens. Studio gives you 496 colors in 5 sheens from a company that's been making paint since 1997. The color system uses a full-spectrum approach with complex pigment blends that produce richer, more dimensional color — something a limited-palette brand can't replicate.
You also get access to C2's full product catalog. Studio is the starting point, not the whole story. Cabinets, trim, exterior, primers, specialty coatings — it all works together.
Sheens and where to use them
- Flat — Ceilings, low-traffic rooms. Hides surface imperfections well.
- Matte — Bedrooms, living rooms, dining rooms. Slight warmth with easy touch-up.
- Eggshell — The most versatile. Works almost anywhere — walls, hallways, family rooms. Easy to clean.
- Satin — Kitchens, bathrooms, trim, doors. More sheen means more durability and cleanability.
- Semi-Gloss — Trim, doors, high-moisture areas. The most durable and washable Studio sheen.
Satin and Semi-Gloss work well on standard residential trim and doors. For cabinets or high-traffic trim where you need maximum hardness, step up to C2 Cabinet & Trim.
